I once was very sceptical about coaching and how it would help someone of my standard. I've always enjoyed bike riding and started just social riding but later some would say too late I started racing. I didn't have trouble training but since doing a program with BikeMe my level of racing has steeped up and now enjoy burning others legs off, that once was me falling off the back of the bunch not now.

I write this as I catch the train from the French Alps back to Paris for the final stage of the 2013 TDF. BikeMe helped me just climb Mont Vontoux, Alp d'Huez and Col De Calibier feeling strong and therefore enjoying the riding 100%

It's fun to feel strong be healthy and enjoy life, I strongly recommend BikeMe coaching for all levels of riding.

I have been with James since January 2013 and through his training programs I have improved in almost all aspects of cycling and racing. Once we agreed on a goal event the training plans have been tailored to get me to the start line in the best shape possible.

Over the past 6 months I have seen a significant improvement in my power output, climbing speed and strength endurance. James has helped me with race strategy for my regular club races and his programs will challenge those riders who want to push themselves.

We have a regular weekly catch up where James provides feedback on the previous weeks training data and where he thinks I am relative to my goal event. His experience and feedback have helped me review my race strategies and to try different things during a race which has enabled me to be more competitive as well as enjoying the contest even more.

I would recommend James and Bikeme to anyone who wants to improve their cycling ability whether that be recreational cycling or club racing.

After riding my mountain bike up for a few months up and down a few hills, I decided I was ready to start competing.

Prior to James’ training, I did one race, the James Willo 50km in March 2013.  It took me 3:26:14 and a lot of pain to finish.  At that point I knew there had to be a better way of getting through a race.

I found James McArdle from Bikeme in April 2013 and started training in a more controlled manner. James started by shaping a program for me aiming at the Convict 50kmer which was in May, only 4 weeks later, 2:13:28 over an hour faster than the previous race.

These results speak for themselves. James monitors me via Garmin connect and adjusts the program accordingly, both how my training is going at the time and what races I have in the pipeline.

I highly recommend James to anyone looking to get fitter for the road or the single track.

Cheers, Paul
